YOUR INSTRUCTOR.... All classes will be instructed by Sandra Stanton. With over 25 years of dance experience, Sandra is a graduate of The Juilliard School in NYC and has performed and instructed dance professionally all over the world since 1996. Sandra recently joined ranks with some of the world's most recognized and educated classical ballet instructors by receiving her national ballet teacher certification through the prestigious American Ballet Theater teacher training program in NYC. Besides receiving the very best instruction, classes will focus on building physical and mental strength, inner confidence and a deep sense of appreciation for the performing arts. At studio u, your tuition goes towards education and training. Each class size will be strictly limited, not to exceed 8 students, to ensure that each child receives individual attention. ALSO, AT STUDIO U... Throughout the year, the vast majority of classtime is spent on teaching classical ballet technique. However, children are given the opportunity to learn choreography and perform in 2 shows during the year. Each year a visiting Master Teacher will travel to the studio to work exclusively with the students. This past year- our Master Teacher was Jackie Stanton-Conley, owner of Ballet Studio 260 in White River, VT. WHAT HAPPENED THIS PAST YEAR..... During the Fall semester of 2008, the ballet students of studio U performed excerpts from "The Nutcracker' wearing handmade, professional grade costumes that were beautifully crafted by Maria Stanton. In the Spring semester of this past schoolyear, the children beautifully performed excerpts from 'Romeo and Juliet' and danced an original work set on them by our visiting ballet Master Teacher Jackie Stanton-Conley.
